Sweet & Sassy & Simple! Thank You

Took me years to purchase the Sweet & Sassy dies... as I am not "into hearts".. and find that I only ever used them for Valentines cards... which I don't usually make a lot of...

But so glad I bought them... my attitude seems to be changing... gosh aren't hearts useful!

So this has to be one of the simplest cards I have ever created... but the recipient absolutely loved it!! As indeed I knew she would...
Though maybe I should have grabbed Perfect Plum as that is her absolute favourite colour... but when there is a Wisteria Wonder small square card blank (10.5cm from A4 or 4 1/4" from US Letter) just sat there... which is her 2nd favourite colour...well!!

So a simple die cut heart aperture... followed by Elegant Eggplant inking and stamping of the lovely Thank You greeting in Heartfelt Blooms...

And a card popped in an envelope and in her bag... in the minutes it took her to walk down to my house to collect her Stampin' Up!order...
Though I think it would look even better with a white embossed greeting!! But that would have taken me too many seconds...

And I have just realised (as I searched for the links for you)... that if you ordered Sweet & Sassy Framelits... plus one pack of card and one inkpad... the total would be £45.25.. and then you would get the Sale A Bration Heartfelt Blooms stamp set for free... Think how many cards you could make in an hour... 48 from the one card pack would be no problem! Bargain...

Sweet & Sassy meets Picture Perfect Party...

All on a Pop Out Swing card...

As we have been having a run on made up plain white Pop Out Swing cards as I demonstrate step by step in my classes - which means another blank one ready to go at the end of each class!
Have to admit that this is my favourite pattern in the Picture Perfect Party pack of papers...so me!!

And I couldn't resist just popping on a heart whilst the Sweet & Sassy dies were out... though I couldn't face any more red....
And my next Pop out Swing card will be decorated with papers all over... got them all ready to go for this weeks' class...
And then I will be back with the updated Tutorial for you... just not enough hours in the day this week...

To simply say Thank you...

When I need to say Thank You to friends and family... I really just like to do it very simply...

Stitched Shapes die-cut square... gold embossing of the Thankful Thoughts large greeting... mounted onto Gold Foil and finished off on a small square square card (10.5cm or 4 1/4" if using US Letter cardstock)
Says what I need them to say... in a perfect little way...

Case-ing me... Lots to Love Hot Lips...

Well I spotted a pin last night on good old Pinterest that gave me a surprise! 8300+ repins of my Groovy Hot Lips Valentine card made 3 years ago... WoW!

And I happened to still have the Lots to Love Box dies out...so I thought a quick re-make was in order...

I still prefer the original ... though I think a larger lips idea would be better if I had used the swirlier heart die in the Sweet & Sassy set... maybe next year!

Lots of Lavender Narrow Notecards Trio

Back to the Lots of Lavender set... which can be yours for free during Sale A Bration with a £45 order...

And a trio of Lavender Narrow Notecards... as I wanted to try out a few techniques in a little set...

So first up... No Line Stamping for the outline stamp with Baby Wipe ink pad for the filler stamp... with the Old Olive leaves just stamped with the stamps in the set...
So I used Smoky Slate for the No Line Stamping... and Rich Razzleberry, Berry Burst, Wisteria Wonder and a tiny bit of Elegant Eggplant inks on my baby wipe... it looks very dark in the photo... but a lot nicer... and more subtle... in my hand! And I reckon that I could have got 20-30 stampings from my Baby Wipe ink pad...

Next up... Marker direct colouring (Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive) on the outline stamp... with Baby Wipe ink pad again for the filler...
And lastly No Line Stamping for the outline... with Marker Thumping for the filler...
I inked up the filler stamp with a Wisteria Wonder ink pad and then marker thumped with Rich Razzleberry, Berry Burst and Elegant Eggplant... needed quite a lot of thumping mind...

And my favourite...definitely the first... looks most effective and is by far the quickest! Just a shame I couldn't take a decent photo! And it was even my second attempt...

Love you...

Another clean & simple idea when you just simply want to say Love You...
Gold foil when you want to be more subtle.... and this would also make a great CAS wedding card without the YOU...
Red Foil when you don't! Though the Red Foil is long retired from our range... but seemed to be the right thing to pull out for Valentine's Day...
And not a stamp in sight... just a trio of dies... Sweet & Sassy Framelits for the heart aperture... Sunshine Wishes for the LOVE and Celebrate You for the YOU

Celebrating Love with a Teeny Tiny Trio for the Jems Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the monthly Jems Blog Hop celebrating Love...
For my share today... I decided to stay on my theme of cards for Valentines Day... as I always have to make a couple of card designs for my ladies to make in classes at this time of year... though I do usually make the cards ones that can be easily varied to make a Wedding or Wedding Anniversary card instead...

I re-sized the very popular and much visited Pop Out Swing card... so I have a new mini Pop Out Swing card fold to share with you today... A7 card sized... too cute! And yes... I will be back with a Tutorial sometime soon...
I used the Sure Do Love you stamps... along with the Lots to Love Box dies... which are available as a bundle with 10% off...in both clear mount and wood mount...

But then I carried on creating for a few minutes... and made some small and simple cards that would be suitable for more bulk makes if you are on a mission to create cards for a large group...

Another A7 sized card...
And a small square aperture card... adding the small sentiment from the good old staple, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
And so here is your Teeny Tiny Trio to celebrate love...
And now it is time to say Goodbye... and to pass you onto the lovely Karen Watts. Just press on the arrow to hop along to see what lovely project she has made to share with you...

Share some Love with Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop...

Hello and welcome to the Global Stamping Friends February Blog Hop featuring Love as the theme... from Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa in England...

I was asked to make a mushy Valentines card for my next classes... as a couple of my ladies are in the mood for spoiling their husbands with a bit of loving sentiment... so here you go... clean and simple in style... but with a bit of "mush"...

And a bit of paper engineering with a Pop Out Swing Card fold to suit that element of a man's interest in a card too!
Greetings from Watercolor Words... die cut hearts care of Sweet & Sassy Framelits... and die cut "YOU" care of the Sale A Bration Level 2 die set, Celebrate You... which can be yours for free with a £90 order...

And whilst my ladies are in the mood for sharing a bit of love... they will also be shown this updated version of their Christmas Curled Paper Chocolate Balls Topiary...
A simple few minutes with some chocolate hearts to update something they really loved for another special occasion in the year... hope theirs aren't too well hidden in the loft!
And I feel it pertinent to warn my regular visitors... that...

(1) I have taken the opportunity to tweak my tutorial from long ago... so a new tutorial will be coming along sometime soon... when I catch a few hours for a remake session...

(2) I have also created a lovely little re-size of the Pop Out Swing Card Fold... but more on that tomorrow...

(3) I then went even more mad... and created a few more cards with love in mind whilst the hearts were out!! So it may be a bit of a love in all week!
And now it is time to say goodbye and to pass you onto the lovely Claudia Perry in Columbus, Georgia in the USA... just click on the big arrow below to continue on the Hop...

And I have a second post coming at 8pm tonight as it is monthly Blog Hop Weekend time...

So... in the meantime... here is another little card for you today using Lots of...Wisteria...
