Fun Fold Friday... Sun Prints Pop Up Concertina Fold Card

Wow! Its been a while since I last posted... so a confession!

As well as a quick Pop Up Concertina Fold card share for you... the simplest version you will ever see!

Oh and if anyone fancy a Sun Prints Kit??? UK only... Or a Tutorial bundle if elsewhere... Same offer as the Awash with Beauty kit shared here... though you will also need the Nature's Prints stamp set/bundle for these cards...

Just contact me by clicking here to email me OR by using the contact form down the right hand side of the blog... next order going in 31st August...

And so my confession! Think I need to give myself a bit of a blog-oliday...

A seriously under-performing PC (so so slow!! need a new one!), a sporadic printer service (need a new one!)... along with a few key Blogger and Stampin' Up! website changes over the past few years (so so more time consuming!) has made the process of blogging excruciatingly slower than before... so I just don't find that spare hour (or so) everyday anymore... or even a few times a week...

Oh and back-ache (again!) as soon as I spend time on the PC! Though I may have just sussed something with regards to this!! Fingers very crossed...

But...  even though I produce less projects (as I run far less classes nowadays)  I actually have quite a lot of projects made and ready to share... so I may still pop on from time to time with a quick and simple post... and I am in the throes of making a lot more for a session next week...

And then I'm onto Christmas!! And (for those who have been here with me for a few years!)... you know how much I enjoy making those and that I normally make rather a lot!!

Fancy Fold Friday - Ever Eden Pop Out Concertina Fold Card

Loved creating this Pop Out Concertina Fold card for special birthdays...

And so did everyone in classes... as we all love a shiny pop of foil... greens... as well as an interesting fold...

Colours used are Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Gold Foil. Leaves care of Grove dies and flowers care of Floral Squares dies (both of which I absolutely LOVE BTW)

I also used the new Iridescent Rhinestones... which look really subtle compared to the usual Jewels and Pearls...

And a quick tip... remember to die cut those Large Numbers out of your gold foil mat before sticking your paper on... waste not want not as they say!! And sorry those Large Numbers dies are no longer available to order...

But a couple of admittances..

You are going to see a lot of 60th birthday cards here over the next year... lots of my friends 60th birthdays coming up... so I need to be prepared...

The Ever Eden papers I used are not available anymore... I actually "messed up" and ordered them not realising they were a on-off just for a month and wouldn't be available to purchase the following month!! But they are far too nice not to use... and I just really hope they become available on the Clearance Rack one day!!!

Fun Fold Friday - Whimsy & Wonder Double Pop Up Concertina Card

Time for another of these Double Pop Up Concertina House cards... though this one is simpler (and a lot quicker to make) - as the Whimsy & Wonder papers do most of the decorative work.... as well as a bit of Brick & Mortar embossing and use of Perfectly Plaid and Welcoming Window...

But before I start... I hope you got what you wanted from the Last Chance List and the Clearance Rack... as many many items are now discontinued... and not orderable... which explains why you can't see them!

However... there are also many items "stuck in transit" somewhere... or due in next week or later.. and so unfortunately not orderable too... So if there is something you really really want... be sure to email (or use the contact me box down the right hand side of the page) and I can check when more stock is due... so then you know when you may be able to order...

And these Whimsy & Wonder papers fall into this latter category - more stock is due in this week... so hopefully will get booked in today... which I am delighted about as I have rather fallen in love with these stunning papers... such a gorgeous, fresh & contemporary colour combination...

BTW - as I know many of you are wanting them... the Peaceful Place papers are the same ie overdue for this week...

Live in the UK - order the Peaceful Place papers or Peaceful Cabin stamps - and get my Class Tutorial' s for free (Please note that sadly the Cabin dies are now discontinued) Note that a Double Pop Up Concertina card tutorial is included in this Tutorial Package... albeit a different size... though I can easily send these measurements if requested (by email ) at the time of purchase...

Sunday Special - Pop Out Concertina Card - Peaceful Place #4

I will have to be brief today... as life has just delivered a curve ball... but I wanted to quickly come and show you the other part of yesterdays creation...

A Pop Out Concertina card that sprang into my mind from nowhere!! I still love it when my brain comes up with something new... and then it is so satisfying when it can compute a design that works! As many a great idea doesn't then work out ...

Love this new card fold... I can think of so many uses... and a few variants! I will be back with more details sometime soon... sorry that I have to dash...

Edited to Add -  I have written up up a PDF tutorial bundle for 6 of my Peaceful Place cards... and I offer a Class in the (UK only) post too... See HERE for more details

A very special 100th Birthday Card

So this is a first! Celebrating 100 years of age...
A card created for a recipient of a "telegram" from the Queen... isn't this so special! Guess not many of us see one of these...
A very special card for DH's Uncle Joe... who has always been a special (and such a character) uncle!!!
But WOW... 100 years of age... Go Joe! A real legend with more than one book's worth of stories about his fascinating long life!
So I had to make the longest card in celebration... just so everyone in the place knew that Joe was 100!
Such an honour to share this very special day with Uncle Joe... and for my card to "sit" next to the Queen!!!
Click here for the Concertina Box Card Tutorial and more details on the card...

Craft Spa Tutorial
1.  Place  12”paper piece LANDSCAPE on trimmer
2.  Score at 2 ½”, 5”, 7 ½” & 10”
3.  Place  10”paper piece LANDSCAPE on trimmer
4.  Score at 2 ½”, 5”& 7 ½”
5.  Bone Fold 12” piece Valley, Mountain, Valley, Mountain
6.  Bone Fold 10” piece Valley, Mountain, Valley

7.  Apply ink to left side/edge of 10” strip if necessary
The Noble Peacock papers used here have a white core so better to ink up with some Noble Peacock ink – I just placed the edge onto the ink pad… and used a tissue to wipe away any excess ink ( as these papers are foiled so the ink will not sink into any foiled parts!

8.  Place 12” section to left and 10” section to right in front of you
9.  Adhere 2 together placing the left hand side of the RH 10” piece over the short width of the LH 12 piece”

10. Score both box panels at 1” on all 4 sides
11. Bone Fold and dart on 2 opposing sides
12. Punch larger box section (ie lid) on 2 longer sides with ¾” circle punch
13. Apply glue and adhere (smaller) Base Box
14. Apply glue and adhere (larger) Base Lid whilst on the Base

15. Adhere sides of Main Card onto Box Lid and Box Base (my Lid is on the LHS, and Base on the RHS)

16. Decorate as necessary.
I die cut 4
Noble Peacock paper Old Olive letters and 4 Noble Peacock Foil Bermuda Bay letters (which are then embossed using the Tufted embossing folder for a bit of texture!)

But before I go... remember the Flash Sale tomorrow... for one day only...

Concertina Box Card incorporating Stitched Stars

So there is a story behind this box card...

But before I start... Stock update!! The Feels Like Frost papers are back into stock to order!! I don't think they will be in stock to order for very long though...

And when I ordered last night... the featured Brightly Gleaming papers were on back order... but orderable again! Which means they will just arrive separately in a few weeks time... unless they go unorderable before you get to order...

So back to today's post...

I was asked to create a "birthday card in a box" for classes as Nicola's younger daughter has complained for the last few years that her older sister has had one than one card in a box... and she hasn't had one!!
I realised that I have created many "card in a box " or "box card" versions over the years... but not one like this!

As I have combined the "old favourite" Tag Topper Punch Concertina Card  (albeit with a reduced number of panels) ... and the box for it to go in... so this is truly a card in a box... as the box is indeed an in-separable part of the card!
And the birthday card is yet to be shared... but we liked it so much we had to make a christmas one too! Featuring Brightly Gleaming, Stitched Stars and Merry Christmas To All...
So what do you think? Worthy of a tutorial at some point?  Edited to Add- click here for the Tutorial posted 22 October...

Another Share What You Love Tag Topper Concertina Card

Another class... another demo... means another card version... and I LOVE this one...

Though I will be honest... this piece of paper with pearlescent Petal Pink flowers was my least favourite pattern... but I have now definitely changed my mind!!
Click here for the original EIGHTEENTH card and/or here for the Tutorial....

Large Letters die cut from more of the Share What You Love papers...
And flowers fussy cut from another piece (s)...
Always like doing these cards in classes... as they always please... and are pretty simple to make...
